Annual Internal Training: Biological Safety in the Laboratory and Personal Hygiene

Dr Dr Diah Iskandriati while providing Biology Safety Training in the Laboratory and Personal Hygiene

On May 11, 2018, Annual Internal Training was held: Biological Safety in the Laboratory and Personal Hygiene. As an institution that works with biological materials derived from primate animals, the knowledge of Biosafety Laboratories and Personal Hygiene is an absolute requirement for all PSSP employees. Occupational safety procedures in the laboratory are so important to note that they can prevent work accidents and transmission by biological materials.
PSSP pays attention to these safety issues, so training is held every year to remind all employees about the dangers of working with biological materials, and how to avoid unwanted transmission. Using personal protective equipment in the right order, how to clean yourself after working both in the laboratory and in the cage, is immediately displayed in front of the participants.
Dr. Diah Iskandriati as PSSP Biosafety Officer, reminded that even though it is always repeated every year the purpose of this training is for personal safety and security, so we must not neglect the importance of these trainings.
The safety of all parties is the responsibility of all laboratory users. Let’s follow all the standard procedures and always remember them.
