Half Day Seminar Dr. Martin Gilbert and Dr. Navapon Techariengkai at PSSP
On Friday, October 26, 2018, a Half Day Seminar was held at the PSSP which was filled by 2 guest speakers. The two speakers are:
1. Dr. Martin Gilbert, Carnivore Health Specialist from Collee of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University who presented the material entitled Canine Distemper Virus as A Threath to Carnivore Conservation
2. Dr. Navapon Techariengkai, Lecturer at Virology from the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chullalongkorn University with a presentation entitled Pseudotype Based Serological Technique.
The event was attended by researchers from PSSP, Primatology Students, Veterinarians from Taman Safari Indonesia, Jakarta Animal Hospital, Sumataran Rhino Sanctuary, Jabalpur India University, Predict, PT Bimana Indomedical, and Post-Graduate Medical Microbiology at IPB.
In his presentation Dr. Gilbert told of a survey conducted in Russia of tiger amur infected by CDV and Dr. Navapon regarding the making of pseudovirus from the CDV virus used for research.
