Excitement of the 2016 National Hakteknas Expo Ritech event

The 2016 Ritech Expo was one of a series of activities to commemorate the 21st National Technology Awakening Day (Hakteknas), which featured the results of superior research and innovation in R & D institutions. The activity was held on Wednesday – Saturday, 10-13 August 2016, held at GOR Manahan, Solo. 2016 Ritech Expo National Exhibition Expo was attended by the 3rd RI President, Mr. B.J. Habibie along with Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Mensristekdikti) Mohamad Nasir, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) Puan Maharani on this occasion represented Indonesian President Jokowi and Working Cabinet Ministers such as Interior Minister Tjahjo Kumolo, Minister of Health Nila Moeloek, Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, Deputy Governor of Central Java Heru Sudjatmoko, head of political parties, leaders and members of the DPR, Ambassador of friendly countries, Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Surakarta.

At the Ritech Expo, PSSP LPPM-IPB occupied a booth that was joined by 24 Science and Technology Center (PUI) R & D institutions in the PUI pavilion. The products displayed by PSSP LPPM-IPB are prototypes of polymerase DNA recombinant enzymes (InventPro KIT Polpfu) and prototype recombinant RT SRV-2 enzymes. In addition, PSSP presented a poster titled “Endangered Indonesian Primate Animals”. The poster contains images of native Indonesian primates whose existence is threatened with extinction.

The PSSP Expo stand, including one of the booths, was quite crowded with Solo City school students, be it elementary school, junior high school or high school. The enthusiasm of school students seeing the posters displayed by the PSSP shows a form of concern for School children towards the habitat of Indonesian primates.
