The PREDICT-2 PROJECT All Country Meeting

Dr. drh. Joko Pamungkas, MSc as Head of IPB PSSP and Dr. drh. Diah Iskandriati Head of UPT Laboratory PSSP-IPB on 2 – 4 February 2016 attended and gave a presentation at the All Country Meeting of the PREDICT-2 PROJECT Meeting in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. During the meeting and workshop, guidance was discussed about how to implement sampling methods and community behavior in the field.
In the first part of the activity, the explanation of the philosophy of Emerging Pandemic Threats (EPT) and the introduction of teams or representatives of each country was explained, as well as the presentation of the successes that had been made in PREDICT-1 along with the success expectations at PREDICT-2. The material was continued with a PREDICT working session related to the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) and discussion regarding the strategy for conducting PREDICT surveillance activities. The PREDICT activities are in collaboration with FAO and WHO. Dr. Joko Pamungkas is the presenter for the Southeast Asia region. After that, the activity continued with the presentation of material on information management, namely the use of the EIDITH website in collecting and reporting various data from the results of activities in the field.
On the last day of the activity, the presentation was related to the operationalization of the One Health, Modeling & Analytics concepts, reporting and communication, and the re-gathering of countries in the same region to discuss various plans, strategies, collaborative activities, and the formation of networks with supporting frameworks. so that the expected goals of PREDICT-2 activities can be achieved easily.
