Vision of the IPB Primate Animal Study Center (PSSP):
Becoming the Center for Human Resource Development, Science and Technology and Development Policy Based on Primatology that is International in Standard and Environmentally Friendly.
Mission of IPB Primate Animal Study Center (PSSP):
- Development of human resources, science and technology and formulation of development policies based on basic and applied primatology research.
- Organizing the utilization and preservation of primate animals and their ecosystems for human welfare.
- Organizing sustainable cooperation and conducting research by prioritizing accountability, professionalism and a reliable management system.
The Main Objectives of IPB Primate Animal Study Center (PSSP) include:
- To develop biomedical sciences and technology through education, research, training programs, seminars, and publications in connection with interest in primatology.
- To provide advice and assistance in building goals, strategies and policies in the area of conservation and use of Indonesian primate species in Biological and Biomedical Research.
- To develop and implement collaborations with various institutions in Indonesia and abroad to provide knowledge and technology transfers, exchange of information and expertise, and research and education at primatology
- To build breeding facilities and natural habitat for Indonesian primate species in connection with the conservation of these primate species and their use in biological and biomedical research.
