- Carry out and coordinate research on primate animals in the biomedical field, species conservation and captive breeding of primates for research purposes
- Fostering cooperation with various parties both outside and inside the country, in order to develop and utilize primate animals for research purposes
Scope :
Conduct research with primate animals as the main material for research and
- Basic and applied research in the fields of biomedicine, biology and conservation of primate animals
- Animal models that can be used to find treatment, prevention or further deepening of a disease or other disorder for the benefit of human health and well-being
- Conservation of primates through breeding programs by paying attention to environmental sustainability, medical ethics and animal welfare
Organizational structure
The Primate Animal Study Center of LPPM-IPB was formed on July 28, 1990, stated in the Chancellor’s Decree No. 080 / C / 1990, concerning the Establishment of the Primate Animal Study Center (PSSP) of the Bogor Agricultural University.
In managing the organization, all activities were centralized at the Primate Animal Study Center office, in Lodaya II / 5, Bogor, 16151, and a committee was formed to facilitate the activities of the organization described as follows:
