Friday, 08 January 2016 – Primate Animal Study Center LPPM-IPB (PSSP-IPB) received a guest visit from the School of Public Health Department of the Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences University of Washington, Seattle, Washington, USA. The guest is Prof. Marilyn Roberts and her doctoral students Ms. Karen Michael who visited the IPB PSSP in order to continue the collaboration between PSSP-IPB and UW in various fields of primate animal research that have been running since the late 1980s. On this occasion, he gave a seminar before Dr. drh. Joko Pamungkas, MSc (Head of PSSP LPPM-IPB), and a number of staff researchers at the PSSP-IPB discussed about Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aerus (MRSA) in primate animals. In addition, it provides the transfer of knowledge and skills regarding the detection of MRSA in Indonesian primate animals (Macaca fascicularis and M. nemesterina) from January 6 to 14 2016 at the Microbiology and Immunology Laboratory of PSSP IPB.
