IPB PSSP successfully held an International Seminar

Bogor – Monday, August 14, 2017. IPB Primate Animal Study Center (PSSP) successfully held an international seminar entitled “Primate Behavior, Biomedicine and Neurosciences Research for Promoting Better Health”, which was held at IPB International Convention Center (IICC). The event was held in conjunction with other PSSP activities namely Workshop on Melioidosis.

The two events began with remarks from the Head of the Primate Animal Study Center, Dr. drh. Joko Pamungkas, M.Sc., which was then continued by the Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service – Bogor Agricultural Institute (LPPM-IPB), Dr. Ir. Prastowo, M.Eng.

The seminar attendees were 128 people, coming from various academics to professionals. International seminar activities begin with the first plenary session at 08.45 WIB until 10.50 WIB. The composition of the speakers at the first plenary session is as follows:

  1. Prof Dr Kimberly Philips (University of Trinity, San Antonio, Texas; The American Society of Primatology)
  2. Prof M Karen Hambright (College of Coastal Georgia)
  3. Dr Fei-Yue Zhao (NeuroSolutions Ltd., University of Warwick, Coventry, United Kingdom)
  4. Prof J Koudy Williams, DVM (Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine, Wake Forest University)
  5. Prof Randall C Kyes, PhD (Center for Global Field Study; Washington National Primate Research Center, University of Washington)

The first plenary session ended with seminar participant discussions at 10:50 WIB until 11:05 WIB. The event then continued with the second plenary session at 11.05 WIB until 12:45 WIB. The speaker structure in the second plenary session is as follows:

Furthermore, the seminar was followed by an oral presentation session from participants who registered themselves as free paper’s participants. The session is divided into 2 sessions with the speaker structure in the first session as follows:
