Indonesian Dance Enlivens the 25th Anniversary of the Orangutan in the Czech Republic

Jakarta – Usti nad Labem Zoo, Czech Republic, in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in Prague, celebrates 25 years of orangutan existence, while marking an exhibition of photos and paintings of the work of Orang Utans at the Zoo, 3-27 November 2014. The Golek Asmorodono dance from Yogyakarta concludes at the event.

In a press release from the Czech Republic of Indonesia in Prague on Thursday (11/06/2014), the dance performance was presented by Uchita Nadia Reza Danaatmadja, Indonesian dancer who also works as a spa therapist. the art show was witnessed by a number of invitations from the government and the Czech community as well as the Indonesian people who lived in Usti nad Labem and Ceska Lipa, the event took place lively.

Usti nad Labem Zoo has a collection of one of Nunak and Nuninka’s orangutan families who gave birth to 4 children namely Raja, Amos, Budi and Cantik. The king died when he was one year old, while Amos was currently transferred to a zoo in the Netherlands and had succeeded in having two offspring.

The manager of the Zoo, Marina Vancatova, stated that his side saw the orangutan platform need expansion to accommodate the possibility of increasing family members.
