Base
- Decree of the Head of PSSP LLPM-IPB No. No. 081 / PT39.H8.a8 / N / 95 concerning Establishment of the Welfare Monitoring Commission and Use of Experimental Animals (KPKPHP)
Main tasks
- Arrange the rules for using experimental animals in the PSSP environment of LPPM-IPB
- Evaluate research proposals that will use experimental animals to be conducted at the PSSP LPPM-IPB
- Provide recommendations to the Head of PSSP LPPM-IPB about whether or not the above research is needed to use experimental animals
- Provide an alternative to researchers about the experimental animals to be used
- Conduct direct supervision at least twice a year to the laboratory, quarantine, captivity and research sites where the experimental animals are placed
- Provide recommendations to the Head of PSSP LPPM-IPB about research facilities and housing for experimental animals within the PSSP LPPM-IPB
- Organizing education / training in the framework of developing human resources in the handling and welfare of experimental animals
Authority
- Establish an implementation team if needed
Responsible
- Responsible to the Head of the PSSP LPPM-IPB
- Uphold the complaints mechanism and follow up on reports of irregularities in welfare programs for animal use in the study
Obligations
- Providing reports on the evaluation of animal welfare and use programs as well as results of visits to animal facilities and research to the PSSP head LPPM-IPB
- At least 6 months to meet and evaluate animal welfare and use programs in animal facilities and research at PSSP LPPM-IPB
- At least six months a visit and direct supervision to animal facilities and PSSP research LPPM-IPB
