Excitement of the PSSP National Seminar

Tuesday, 29 November 2016 – Located at Salak Tower Hotel, the Primate Animal Study Center (PSSP) of LPPM-IPB in collaboration with the Association of Exotic Wildlife, Aquatic and Animal Veterinarians (ASLIQEWAN) successfully held an event titled “National Seminar: Latest Issues in the Field of Indonesian Primate Animal Medical Conservation to Support Human and Animal Welfare “. About 150 participants from various groups attended to fill the room. The present speakers felt enthusiastic throughout the seminar.

The seminar began with a speech from Dr. drh. Joko Pamungkas, MSc as Head of PSSP LPPM-IPB. Furthermore, it was reconnected with the remarks given by Dr. Ir. Prastowo, M.Eng as the Head of LPPM-IPB. The core activities of the seminar begin with a plenary session I, speakers who provide material including drh. Indra Exploitasia Semiawan, MSi from the Center for Forestry and Environment Engineering, Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry; Dr. Siti Nuramaliati Prijono from the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI); Dr. drh. Heru Setijanto, PAVet (K) from the Executive Board of the Indonesian Veterinary Association; and Dr. drh. Ligaya ITA Tumbelaka, SpMP, MSc from PSSP LPPM-IPB. The Pelno I session was moderated by Dr. drh. Diah Iskandriati.

After a break of about 15 minutes, the plenary session II began with the presentation of material from different speakers, including Drs. Jansen Manansang, MSc from Taman Safari Indonesia; Dr. drh. Joko Pamungkas, MSc representing PREDICT Indonesia; drh. Pristiani Nurantika from Javan Gibbon Center; and Dr. Jamartin Sihite from the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation. The second plenary session was moderated by Dr. drh. Ligaya ITA Tumbelaka, SpMP, MSc. The plenary session II was closed with a question and answer session and coffee break.

The scientific session is continued in parallel to 2 (two). The First Parallel Session was limited to 2 (two) spaces, namely the 1A Parallel space led by the moderator drh. Huda S Darusman, Msi, PhD. Speakers in the Parallel 1A room were filled by drh Nur Purba Priambada, dr. Sugeng Dwi Hastono, Dr. dr. R Putratama Agus lelana, SpMP, MSi, dr. Diah Pawitri, and dr. Suryo Saputro. While the 1B Parallel space is led by moderator Dr. Ir. Entang Iskandar, MSi. Speakers in the Parallel 1B room were filled by Dr. Ir Agus Priyono Kartono, Msi, Dr. Ana Widiana, Msi, Dr. Ruhyat Partasasmita, Msi, and Agus Pambudi Darma, SPd, Msi.

The Second Parallel Session was resumed with limited to 2 (two) spaces, namely 2A Parallel space led by moderator Dr. Dr R R Putratama Agus lelana, SpMP, Msi. The speaker in the Parallel 2A room was filled by Dr. Dr. Diah Iskandriati, Dr. Gigih Ikhtiari Erfianto, Dr. Agus Fahroni, Dr. Drh Hery Wijayanto, MP and Dr. Ir Drdy Duryadi Solihin, DEA. While the 2B Parallel space is led by moderator Isti Kartikasari, SSi, MSi. Speakers in Parallel 2B room were filled by Drs Sofian Iskandar, MSi, Dr. Ir Dyah Perwitasari F, MSc, dr. Andriansyah and Panji Ahmad Fauzan.

The whole series of events was closed by the Head of PSSP LPPM-IPB right after the question and answer session in the parallel session ended.
