Presbytis Hosei
Presbytis hosei (Hose’s langur) is a primate species from the family Cercopithecidae, subfamily Colobinae. These primate animals are endemic to Borneo which are spread in Brunei, East Kalimantan and East Malaysia. According to IUCN 2016, the conservation status of P. hosei is included in the vunerable category (at high risk of being threatened with extinction) with a population tendency that decreases along with the increase in damage to the forest where these animals live.
Prebytis hosei lives in an unaltered and arboreal manner in tropical forests with quadrupedal and leaping movements. Foliage is the main food source (65%), added with seeds, fruit (30%) and flowers (2%) and a little prey on animals (bird eggs).
This monkey has a gray back hair color, white on the bottom and blackish color on the hands and feet. Body length 480-557 mm, tail length 646-840 mm and body weight 6200 g (male), 5570 g (female).
